Borja Pikallo, born in A Coruña in the early 80s, has a distinctive style influenced by almost every genre, including techno in nearly all its branches, from the classic Detroit sound to hypnotic tribal with touches of funk and groove. Although his sets are currently based on energetic and vibrant techno-house sounds, Pikallo has played in numerous clubs throughout Galicia and northern Spain, and has been a major driving force behind the rave movement in his hometown of A Coruña. Following his successful career, in October 2006 he embarked on a new adventure, becoming a resident DJ at Sector Océano club in Sada/A Coruña. There, he had the opportunity to play extended sets encompassing a wide variety of styles and also to host his own popular Pump Sessions parties with his partner and friend Hanfry (Lanzatech). After a stint as a resident DJ and manager at the Nuit club in A Coruña, Pikallo definitively established himself on the Galician scene and as a breakout artist when he became a resident DJ at one of Galicia's most iconic clubs, La Zeus. It was at this club that he had the opportunity to share the DJ booth with top-tier artists such as Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, and Octave One, among many others. He was praised by artists of the caliber of Ken Ishii and Pepo for his impressive live sets, and also performed at other events across the Iberian Peninsula and the islands, such as Zentral (Mallorca), where he was very well received and subsequently booked for more gigs. Today, he has embarked on a new project, forming his own agency and record label, PAZ&REC, under the Paz&records brand, representing DJs as prominent in the international and national electronic music scene as Mark Williams, Dejan Milicevic, Angel Molina, and JL Magoya, and organizing his own events and parties for the label. He has performed sets in such iconic venues as Industrial Copera (Granada), La Fabrika (Gijón), Lovejoy (Parque de Piles / Gijón), Disaster (Zamora), Octopus (Pontecesures / Pontevedra), Zeus (A Coruña), Beta Club (Betanzos), La Flor (Montouto/A Coruña), La Nuit (A Coruña), Bambina (A Coruña), Seven (formerly Capilla-Redondela), Oh Coruña! (A Coruña), Salitre (Moaña / Vigo), Chevalier (A Coruña), O Medulio (Ferrol), Albatros (Gandario-La Coruña), El Portiño (A Coruña), La Perla (Ortigueira), Radiojaicar (Monterroso/Lugo), Bohemia (Ribadeo), El Barranco (Touro/Santiago), Andromeda Club (A Coruña), Osmik (Sta. Cruz /A Coruña), Ink (Ferrol), Metro (Melide), Sala Idea (old Delirio/monforte), BY552@El Ibiza (Laracha/A Coruña) Sa Baroc (Sada/A Coruña), Sambo (O Barco) and currently resides in the Zeus room (A Coruña). He has participated in festivals such as the North DJs Festival, Galicia Selection or Technogalicia 05 held in the Octopus room. He has also DJed in prestigious venues in Asturias such as LoveJoy (Parque de Piles-Gijon), La Fabrika (Gijón), Tocata (Pola de Siero /Asturias) or Impact13 (Langreo).
