Mauro Picotto

Mauro Picotto is one of the most commercially successful names in Italian trance. He has sold thousands of records both in his home country and in Germany, where trance is considered a folk music phenomenon. Komodo, Iguana, and Pulsar are the exotic titles of some of the Italian super-DJ's biggest hits. He has exported his Meganite concept to Ibiza, creating nights packed with Italians and Brits alike: the former because Picotto is their hero, and the latter because no one can get the British dancing like the Italian. You can find a Meganite night in Miami, London, New York, or Australia. He's a man accustomed to crowds, and perhaps that's why the organizers of the 2006 Turin Olympics decided to hire him to get the more than 30,000 people gathered at the Palazzo Nuovo dancing.
