Biography.
Aitor Ronda's roots go back to 90s techno. His personal commitment to techno and clubbing dates back to 1996, when he started spinning his first vinyl records. A few years later, in 2001, he released his first album alongside Mark Williams, Ben Sims, and Paul Mac, and included the track "Trilogy" with DJ Rush. Since then, the Barcelona-based DJ/producer has built a truly solid musical career—with 20 years of experience—which now culminates in his new project and brand: WHACK.
Over the years, Aitor has defined and refined his technique by playing in important festivals and venues such as Sónar, Monegros, Privilege, Space-Ibiza, Florida 135 or Egg London, among others.
Regarding his discography, Aitor has released music on some of the most important record labels in the scene, such as Terminal M (Monika Kruse seal), Filth On Acid (Reinier Zonneveld's seal), Octopus (Sian seal) or Tronic (Christian Smith's label), not forgetting Pig&Dan's "Elevate" label, where he has been accumulating great hits. One of the most important was "Tweezer," a track that became Number 1 in the world's best-selling techno songs of 2018.
All of this ensured that his music was a constant presence on techno/club charts worldwide, including reaching number 1 in sales on Beatport and achieving the massive support from Carl Cox, who keeps playing all his references and those of his label all over the planet.
